- Skype for business wasn't released on the Mac until late 2016 (with I don't believe ever supported your old version of macos) What you need is Lync for Mac 2011. More specifically the web plugin as the full client requires a licence which I presume you do not have.
- Get Skype, free messaging and video chat app. Conference calls for up to 25 people. Download Skype for Windows, Mac or Linux today.
You do not need a Skype for Business client locally installed if you do not want it. The invite link they would have sent you, when you click on it should open your web browser and give your notifications about joining Skype for Business meeting via web. Ofcourse you should test this before hand to make sure that being a OSX platform specially older version that your webcam and mic work ok. Best of luck with your interview.
Hey, I thought so too...but yesterday when I had my initial interview, the link took me to a page;
Nov 20, 2018 Skype for Business Web App for Mac OS X (black screen workaround) Download and install Skype meetings app: (this part you will need to find on your own, a google search produced several results. But it needs to be the Skype meetings app, not the Skype For Business app.).
Download Skype For Business Mac Os

Then nothing happened, however the meeting host may have decided to exit the meeting before calling my mobile (initially the link from my calendar took me to my own skype app and it seemed I was the only person in the call / assumed someone was going to join).
Anyone able to test this with me... i.e. send me a quick invite from within their enterprise ?
